This work considers the security issue of the remote state estimation in a multi-process Cyber-physical system (CPS). Different from the existing works, we propose a novel Denial of Service (DoS) attack, which is called an importance-based DoS attack. The subsystem importance refers to the degree of the accuracy of the state estimation to the total decision-making for the system, and we employ the importance parameters to quantify that. These attacks are directed at the wireless communication channel between sensors and remote estimators. We employ the sum of terminal errors and the sum of average errors based on subsystem importance to quantify the impact of these attacks. We then investigate some scenarios and presented optimal attack strategies for specific scenarios. Finally, we provide numerical examples to illustrate our conclusions.
