Multi-perspective Issues and Role of WSN and Different Technologies in Healthcare Information System

WSN technologies are regarded as one of the most important research fields in computer science and the healthcare application industries for enhancing quality of life. The traditional healthcare system has gradually evolved into an intelligent system as a result of advancements in wireless technologies and wearable sensor devices. Wearable monitoring devices can give users improved insight into their overall health as well as continuous physiological data. As a result, these vital-sign monitoring devices will lower healthcare expenses by preventing sickness and improves quality of life by managing it. The monitoring of blood pressure, blood glucose levels, cardiac activity, and respiratory activity, as well as on-body propagation problems for many sensors, are all covered in this article. In order to reduce the demand for carers, this chapter describes the critical function that body sensor networks play in medicine. Although they have many advantages, wearable and implanted body sensor networks still have a number of outstanding research issues that are examined in this study along with some suggested solutions.
