NON CARD BASED BIOMETRIC ATM SOLUTION

In Indonesia, the total volume of incidents related to ATM fraud is on the rise.Still, public safety remains the highest priority, particularly for customers of banks.A total loss of five million rupiah was documented in March 2017 as a consequence.Of illegal ATM transactions.Although a 6-digit PIN is the only way to guarantee the security of cash machines, there are still many security holes that enable thieves to get both the 6-digit PIN and consumer data.Skimming is one of the most common ways that ATM fraud happens.As a result, the authors propose the concept of the Fingershield ATM, an ATM using fingerprint biometric identification and links to a database server and smart card.Because each fingerprint is different, fingerprint technology is a successful way of recognizing them.Even though customers need to be included.With an extra 1.5 seconds of authentication time for fingerprint verification, security is assured and much improved.The experimental-descriptive approach will be used in this study.Hopefully, this approach will decrease ATM fraud, giving clients of the machines an extra sense of security.Based on past implementation and test results, the Fingershield ATM operates with excellent efficiency, passing test results for some security factors and nearly meeting all specifications .
