Multi-Video CDN system

Pinterest has 450m+ global users and video is an important format on its platform. We want to make video load fast, play in high quality, and very importantly, work reliably in a cost efficient way. We employ the multi-CDN approach for these reasons. This is to discuss how we determine the performance, and set up the right traffic/CDN system to guarantee availability, performance and cost, as well as the challenges of multi-video CDN and future work.
