Energy efficient distributed dynamic small cell on/off scheduling

Recently,small cell networks have attracted much attention due to the substantial improvement on network throughput.In this paper,we propose a novel energy efficient dymamic on/off scheduling algorithm in small cell networks.The objective of the proposed algorithm is to optimize the packet throughput performance in an energy efficiency way.Compared with two exiting algorithms respectively based on random on/off and packet arrival triggered cell activation,in our system-level simulations,the proposed algorithm exhibits considerable performance gains,in terms of packet throughput per unit of energy consunption.
