This review chapter explores the potential benefits and challenges of leveraging distributed systems for educational planning and resource allocation. Educational institutions can improve their planning and allocation processes by implementing distributed systems that can optimize the use of available resources while offering customized learning experiences to students. The chapter compares different distributed system architectures and highlights the importance of infrastructure requirements for the successful implementation of distributed systems in education. The technical aspects of distributed systems, such as data management and analysis, are also discussed. The review chapter identifies security and privacy concerns as key challenges associated with the implementation of distributed systems in education. However, the advantages of distributed systems outweigh the challenges, and with proper planning and management, educational institutions can overcome these challenges to improve educational outcomes for their students. The chapter comes to the conclusion that distributed systems have the potential to revolutionize education by giving students personalized and collaborative learning opportunities, enhancing academic results, and expanding access to education. Distributed system adoption is a trend that educational institutions should take into account if they want to boost collaboration and communication, plan better for resource allocation, and broaden access to education in the digital age.
