A cyber-physical system is a new technology that is the integration of communication and computing technology with the physical world. Performance, robustness, dependability, and efficiency are goals for CPS when dealing with the physical environment. The rapid and significant growth of the CPS is affecting a broad range of aspects of people's lives, such as e-health, e-commerce, and smart homes. However, integrating the cyber and physical worlds creates risky security issues. Due to their centralized design, the variety of CPS applications that compose IoT encounters problems, incorporating interoperability, single point of failure, availability, data leak, security, and trust. Cyber-physical systems (CPS) now has a possibility to dominate due to rising internet usage and expanding IoT connectivity. While the technology is still developing in autonomous industrial control systems, robotic systems, medical monitoring systems, pilot avionics, etc., these systems’ development must indisputably have an emphasis on making them secure and efficient. By using the consensus process and implementing smart contracts, the CPS concerns are addressed, and immutability, fault tolerance, and consistency are guaranteed. Three sections – security, privacy, and trust – describe how blockchain is used to tackle security concerns, protect privacy, and manage trust.
