Modern healthcare has undergone a digital transition driven by the Internet of Things (IoT). Due to the rise of chronic diseases and global aging in all nations, it is incredibly challenging for hospitals to facilitate and monitor every patient. Medical professionals and patients’ families are now able to continuously monitor patients’ conditions thanks to the use of wireless sensor networks for IoT-based medical systems. This is done by collecting data from sensors that are attached to patients. Security issues need to be taken into account from the outset of any digital transition. Due to the sensitivity of healthcare data, every breach endangers patient privacy. IoT networks are even more vulnerable to intrusion. Cyberattacks have the potential for fatal consequences. This study presents a survey and analysis of the literature on the use of IoT as a cybersecurity tool to safeguard IoT networks and proposes an assessment of anonymous authentication used in healthcare. The literature from 2017 to 2022 is thoroughly examined. A comprehensive examination of linked publications identifies a particular niche opportunity for researchers to pursue in this field.
