For the purposes of the internet of things (IoT), a WSN is a collection of geographically scattered, purpose-built sensors that monitor and record environmental variables and then transmit that data in bulk by wireless means to a central server connected to the internet. Using IoT in healthcare facilities, there are several ways in which IoT devices might benefit hospitals beyond just keeping tabs on patients' well-being. The real-time position of medical devices such as wheelchairs, defibrillators, nebulizers, oxygen pumps, and other monitoring equipment may be tracked with the help of IoT devices equipped with sensors. Yet, it has been realized that healthcare settings need dispersed optimization. It is difficult to implement a healthcare IoT system using a WSN. Hence, traditional studies with various types of research techniques are taken into account in the WSN-based IoT and healthcare fields.
