Abstract A multicriteria choice problem is considered in the case when the preferences of a decision maker are expressed using a type two fuzzy binary relation. A Pareto set reduction algorithm based on fuzzy quanta of information about the preferences of the decision maker is presented. An example of its application is also discussed.
