A Survey of Heterogeneous Routing Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks

Sumit Kumar, Jay Prakash · 2023

Over the last decade, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have caused a lot of interest in cellular or mobile computing research groups. Applications for WSN are numerous and growing, spanning from indoor deployment in the home or workplace to outdoor deployment in an adversary’s area in an army battleground. Thanks to recent advances in wireless networking and Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs), mobile computing technologies are expanding at an unprecedented rate. Wires were used to connect equipment in homes and businesses via telephone and cable companies. Nowadays, cellphone technology is popular. Effective MANETs face numerous problems and challenges. Many problems and obstacles confront effective MANETs. To travel from one host to another, a packet must transit through many interconnected networks. Existing protocols cannot route in MANETs due to network difficulties. VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc scanner) is an emerging innovation that has received a lot of notice in recent years. Energy Efficient Routing in Mobile Sensor Networks describes the structure of mobile sensor networks as well as analyses and studies different academic papers in this field.
