Enhancing Tourism Experience Through Video Augmented Reality in Interactive Tourism Media Guide and UX Measurement

Integrating Video Augmented Reality (AR) technology into tourism experiences has revolutionized how travelers engage with cultural heritage and historical sites. This study explores the implementation of Video AR in the context of an Interactive Tourism Media Guide, focusing on Madura dance, a vibrant cultural heritage. By harnessing the power of AR, this research contributes to the preservation of Madura dance and cultural heritage while enhancing tourists' understanding and appreciation. The study delves into the intricacies of the Linear Sequential Model (Waterfall model), ensuring the seamless integration of Madura dance content into the Tourism Media Guide. Furthermore, the study incorporates rigorous user experience (UX) measurement methodologies, providing valuable insights into user satisfaction with Video AR in enriching tourists' interactions with cultural artifacts. Our study not only advances the field of AR-enhanced tourism but also underscores its role in cultural preservation, offering a comprehensive framework for future multimedia-based tourism initiatives. Evaluation based on UX measurement show that our application demonstrates excellent attractiveness, stimulation, and novelty, with above-average perspicuity and good ratings in efficiency and dependability, signifying a compelling design, engaging experience, and overall positive user perception with room for minor enhancements.
