The Improved Bacterial Foraging Algorithm Solves the Spectrum Allocation Problem of Cognitive Wireless Networks

Wangping Zou · 2023

The limited nature of spectrum resources has become one of the bottlenecks restricting the development of wireless communication. Cognitive wireless network is a new type of wireless communication network that uses cognitive technology to improve spectrum utilization, thereby alleviating the shortage of spectrum resources. However, the spectrum allocation problem of cognitive wireless networks is a complex optimization problem, and traditional optimization algorithms have certain limitations in solving this problem. Therefore, an improved bacterial foraging algorithm is proposed for innovative spectrum utilization evaluation and analysis. Firstly, cognitive theory is indicators are reduce interference factors in spectrum utilization evaluation. Then, cognitive theory evaluates the spectrum utilization of cognitive wireless networks, forms a spectrum utilization evaluation scheme. The experimental results show that the improved bacterial foraging algorithm has good performance and effect in solving the spectrum allocation problem of cognitive wireless network under certain evaluation criteria.
