Protecting a wide range of online account credentials has become a critical challenge for individuals and businesses in the current digital world. Traditional password-handling methods have significant safety flaws, so a reliable and practical solution is required. This paper introduces "Password Shield," an innovative offline password manager designed to provide maximum security for user credentials. Password Shield uses a Two-Phase Encryption System with AES & RSA encryption algorithms and an encrypted database, fusing the benefits of unique password management strategies with secure storage mechanisms. A multi-layered security strategy is ensured by the system using a strong master password, hashed using Argon2, and Two Factor Authentication (2FA) utilizing the Google Authenticator app. Users can customize the security parameters and encryption key storage location according to their device capabilities and security preferences. The paper presents detailed insights into the system’s implementation, including its setup, hashing, and authentication processes, and the two-phase encryption approach. Performance and security analysis demonstrates the efficiency and safety of Password Shield, although certain limitations and avenues for future development are acknowledged. Overall, Password Shield is an effective solution for protecting digital credentials while preserving usability and maximum security.
