Digital Identity: An Attempt to Sustain the Refugees

Blockchain technology is wilely regarded as the panacea for contemporary challnges pertaining to digital identity, healthcare recards, voting and currencies. Digital identity is one use case in which blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize identity by granting users complete autonomy over their data and identity. The foundation of human interaction and trust continues be be identity; a digital, permanent, and verified form of identity could revolutionize the wuy in which people conduct business. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of identity systems based on blockchain technology and explore their potential uses for vulnerable social groups, such as refugees and victims of human exploitution. The 1951 UN Convention on the Status of Refugees and is 1967 Protocol specify how refugees' status is determined and their rights are protected. Digital identity has become increasingly important to refigees in recent years. Since the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were introduced in 2015, this issue has become increasingly important, especially to ensure legal identiy for everyone by 2030. By enabling users to interact directy with relying parties rather than relying on a trusted intermediary, Blockchain could assist in resolving these concerns by faciliting control over the starage of identity data.
