The chapter presents the type of equipment and software required nowadays to perform the job of a supervising or key ADR editor. It goes on to outline the nature of post-production sound crews, and the sorts of material provided to them by the picture editing department. This is a discussion of the nature of some of the documentation provided, such as Lined Script, Continuity, and LFOA charts, and continues with a discussion of content security and the various measures and procedures employed to protect the unique intellectual content connected with a motion picture. The chapter concludes with a brief overview of the responsibility of the ADR editor to the production, and an outline of the typical ADR workflow on a show.
