Fingerprint Gender Recognition Using Convolutional Neural Network

Our study focuses on the development of a gender recognition system using fingerprint images. The study implemented a Convolutional Neural Network algorithm to extricate highlights from the unique mark pictures and allocate them as male or female. The dataset used for the study was preprocessed and augmented to elevate the model's performance. The training and testing accuracy measures are acclimated to evaluate the model's efficiency. The outcome exhibits that the CNN algorithm attains a training accuracy of 0.80 and a testing accuracy of 0.93. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of using CNN algorithms for gender recognition tasks using fingerprint images and provides a basis for further research in this field.
