ISAC- Motivated Interference Elimination in Wireless Communication Networks-Part II: Performance Analysis

Husheng Li · 2023

In the first part of this paper, an interference elimination scheme is proposed for communication networks, based on the signal propagation time offset and pulse compression. In the second part of this paper, the proposed scheme is analyzed and compared with existing schemes. First, the condition of interference isolation and elimination is derived, based on which the bandwidth requirement for the proposed scheme is obtained. Then, the proposed scheme is compared with spread spectrum based interference mitigation using distinct waveforms. It is found that they indeed have similar signaling structures and rely on the sequence autocorrelation and cross-correlation, respectively. Other interference management schemes, such as orthogonal transmission and coding for combating interference, are compared with the proposed scheme. Finally, numerical results and conclusions are given.
