Efficient data management in edge computing

This study presents the implementation of a Socket-based edge server aimed at optimizing data access performance. The edge server is designed to store previously retrieved data from a cloud database in a buffer, thereby reducing redundant queries to the database. To further evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the edge server, a client program is developed to simulate real-world data access scenarios. Multiple test datasets are utilized to simulate actual data requests, and the time required for the edge server to process each request is measured.
