With the rapid development of autonomous driving technology, the reliability of data transmission requirements of on-board equipment are getting higher and higher [1]. To solve the problem of abnormal disconnection of communication lines, the IEEE 802.1CB protocol defines the frame replication and frame elimination mechanism, that is, duplicate the key frame, transmit the key frame through redundant links at the same time, and remove the redundant frame according to the mark on the listener, which can ensure the communication rate and improve the reliability of services [2]. This paper designs a zero packet loss protection module. The module is composed of sequence number generation, frame replication, performance collection, sequence number verification, packet caching, sequence number elimination, packet statistics alarm, register reading and writing modules. It can realize the function of frame copying and elimination based on the IEEE 802.1CB protocol, and it supports up to 4096 streams and the number can be configured by the register. In this experiment,9 communication scenarios are constructed to compare the difference whether zero packet loss protection scheme is used or not. In 5 scenarios, packets can be received accurately without using this scheme. But in other 4 scenarios, there are different degrees of packet receiving errors. However, all 9 scenarios can be satisfied if this scheme is used. Thus, the goal of zero packet loss is achieved.
