A Machine Learning Framework for Industrial IoT Systems That Helps Preserve Privacy Using Poly1305 Encryption

Gautam Arora, Bhavneet Kaur · 2023

This paper analyses how blockchain technology and smart contracts may be used to improve the safety and decentralization of Internet of Things (IoT) devices through the use of these two concepts. The two concepts under investigation are blockchain technology and smart contracts. This article presents a general overview of the problems that are caused by the insecurity of the internet of things (IoT), as well as the potential remedies that are based on blockchain technology. It examines the possibility that blockchain technology could make it possible for Internet of Things devices to have secure identity, data integrity, and privacy while at the same time offering decentralized control and consensus processes. In addition to this, the study evaluates the current state of blockchain-based Internet of Things solutions and makes a number of vital suggestions for future research directions with the intention of making such solutions even more effective. The overall focus of the paper is on the immense promise that blockchain technology and smart contracts have for addressing concerns about decentralisation and security in the Internet of Things (IoT), and it also provides a roadmap for future research in this area.
