In this paper, a prototype of remote central locking system for Renault Clio II, 1998 has been developed. The system is realized by an embedded device accompanied by an additional circuit for car access control, a backend server, and a mobile app.The devices use Bluetooth technology to communicate with each other with simple click of a button. On the other hand, the system can be adjusted to an access control system in general, such as car fleet management. The prototype is developed, practically realized, and tested in a laboratory condition for upgrading a real vehicle with problems in the locking system.A schematic diagram for both the in-vehicle unlocking mechanism and the key electronic modules has been synthesized. The energy consumption for the whole system has been measured, and a theoretical 1333 hours are guaranteed before the car battery drains. We have also presented some additional future upgradability trough the use of different communications and overall feature enhancements.
