Real Time Sign Language Translator for Deaf and Mute

Sign language is crucial for communication among those with hearing and speech impairments, yet effective communication still remains a challenge. The paper presents a thorough overview of the technologies implemented and the problems faced from the research aspects. The paper consists of the recent research about sign language machine translation for deaf and mute. In respect to improving accessibility and inclusivity for the Deaf and Mute community through technology, this paper also proposes a new approach of BiLSTM with MediaPipe. The accuracy of the model achieved is 98.35%. Also the papers suggests the future proposals in order to make a more improved model for an effective communication between the Deaf and Mute communities.
