Classification of Various Cloud Attacks using Machine Learning Techniques

The area of cloud computing is one that is extremely important in the realm of information technology. It truly gives the customer the option to access its services via the internet from a single platform. Virtual machines are necessary for CC. Every time a client makes a request, the server responds right away. Now a day’s cloud is adapted almost all over the globe, as it is a misconception that cloud platform is safe but due to public exposure of all the services as it is more prone to attacks which will eventually cause your data. In order to detect these kinds of threats several techniques are suggested by research. This paper delivers a ML based model which will predict the type of attack on cloud using different ML algorithms for the detection of these kinds of threats. We have applied three ML approaches namely Random Forest, KNN and SVM on an adequate dataset to estimate the type of attack. Random Forest shows outstanding performance with the accuracy 93.6% and recall value is also high.
