Latin America and the Caribbean cover an extensive region, spanning the Global North and South, extending from The Bahamas and Mexico to Argentina and Chile.The area has over 660 million people (2022), and the population grows 0.7% yearly [3].The region has a unique history and has evolved economically in the past two decades, significantly decreasing the long-standing poverty level.The diverse political context does not favor an integrated approach to regional higher education.
