Image watermarking technique involves three important attributes of robustness, imperceptibility and watermarking capacity, which constrain each other and need to be weighed in designing watermarking schemes. Improving watermarking imperceptibility, watermarking capacity and robustness has been a challenge for image watermarking algorithms. In this paper, the algorithm utilizes the magnitudes of fast and accurate polar harmonic Fourier moments (FAPHFMs) as the watermark carrier, which improves the robustness of the algorithm. Using the multiplicative embedding method, the watermark embedding strength can be flexibly adjusted according to the size of the original coefficients to achieve better robustness and imperceptibility. Experimental verification confirms that the algorithm outperforms others in terms of robustness and imperceptibility.
