Smart Sight: A Supportive System for Sight Challenged Individuals (SSSCI)

The perceptive skill of vision, which acts as a necessary channel for carrying out everyday chores, is highly critical to humanity's existence. Reduced visual sharpness from diverse causes assumes the character of vision impairment. With a global population of 7.6 billion, studies from several health organizations suggest that seven out of 1000 persons have some degree of blindness. Regrettably, more than 90% of those who are visually impaired live in developing nations. Most people with visual impairments require aids to identify barriers, go about their everyday lives as other people do, and are typically helped by others. Completing their daily tasks is a real-time struggle. So, our goal is to create a SSSCI system with four subsections-Text Detection, Object Detection, Obstacle Detection, and Emergency Locator- that serves as a springboard for individuals to become autonomous in some areas of their lives.
