This paper analyzes the influence of wet-submerged loess on the seismic performance of building structures against the background of an actual project of a building structure in Xi’an, and investigates the influence of ground vibration input mode, soil characteristics, and burial depth of the structure on the seismic response of building structure in the area of wet-submerged loess. The results show that the structural deformation of the building structure can be effectively controlled by improving the properties of the wet-submerged loess around the structure. Increasing the depth of burial of structures within a certain range can effectively reduce damage to building structures from vertical earthquakes. The internal forces at the location of the connection between columns, side walls and floor slabs in the building structure are large. The results of the study can provide a useful reference for the seismic design of similar building structures.
