Introduction to Inline-Services: A Seamless Approach to Microservices Development

Friban Almeida · 2024

In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the popularity of the modern software development approach using microservices. This approach inherently comes with its own complexities and over time there have been efforts made ease deployment and maintenance using orchestration frameworks, but not much has been done on the development, creation and usage of microservices. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a streamlined and simpler approach for the creation and utilization of Microservices. By employing this approach, the intricacies of service development and deployment are concealed, allowing developers to concentrate on the core aspects of the problem domain. This paper will outline the fundamental concepts and components of the framework, accompanied by a Proof-of-Concept implementation in Java. The development of a complex distributed service-oriented application is reduced to as simple as a local application.
