Fragment Security Framework for Enhancing Data Security in Cloud Services
R Suchitra, M S Lakshmi Devi · 2023
As cloud computing has gained widespread adoption in various industries to address storage and computing needs, it has also brought security concerns. Researchers are actively exploring cryptographic approaches to mitigate these security issues. However, the traditional method of encrypting the entire document with a single key or algorithm poses a significant risk of data leakage in the event of an intrusion. This study examines existing encryption methods to address this limitation and proposes a novel fragment-based encryption technique. This technique utilizes an algorithm to generate distinct length variation keys based on the desired confidentiality level for the document fragment. Additionally, performance evaluations of the proposed algorithm against existing methods demonstrate its superior performance, particularly for medium-length documents with moderate confidentiality requirements.
