S Gowtham, S Vedanth, Ashwini Kodipalli, B R Rohini, N Gargi, Bhavani Soma · 2023

In the realm of modern agriculture, the judicious selection of crops plays a pivotal role in achieving higher yields and sustainable farming practices. This paper presents a comprehensive study employing the Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to facilitate the intelligent selection of crops tailored to specific environmental conditions. The study considers four distinct criteria and evaluates four alternative crops, providing a structured approach to prioritize and recommend the most suitable crops for cultivation. The results of this research hold significant promise for farmers seeking guidance on crop selection, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the optimal crop choices for their individual parcels of land. By harnessing the power of fuzzy TOPSIS methodology, this study contributes to the enhancement of agricultural productivity and empowers farmers to make choices that can positively impact their yields and economic returns.
