Cloud computing is the preferred hosting solution for businesses today. Easy to use and financially attractive, the cloud has everything to appeal to. However, a number of challenges threaten the adoption of cloud computing technology within enterprises, such as security, user privacy, data integrity, and storage management for the massive amount of data that will be stored and analyzed in this environment. Several data integrity auditing protocols and various cloud data storage schemes have been proposed to address these different challenges in recent years. Nonetheless, some protocols do not guarantee data confidentiality against auditors during the auditing process, others do not support batch auditing, and most do not support the deduplication technique. Accordingly, our contribution aims at integrating blockchain databases into cloud computing’s storage servers to build a new architecture that ensures storage efficiency via the deduplication method and guarantees data integrity auditing. Implementation results show that our proposals are very practical and adoptable in real life.
