In this article, the authors analyze the impact of aspect-oriented design (AOD) techniques to separate nonmainline hardware aspects such as clocking, arrays, etc. Particularly, the authors demonstrate the impact of AOD on IBM Power10 processor. This article is an extremely important study in the design of large-scale supercomputers.
