Using the strategies to make and explore images
Patrice Baldwin · 2024
Chapter 4 focuses on ways in which ‘drama’ strategies can be selected and used to enter, explore, and understand existing images, as well as enable pupils to visualise and create their own images, individually or together. Subject specific examples are offered, linked to the teaching of English, History, Geography, and PSHE and Relationships Education, as well as Art and Design. This chapter also explains how various strategies can be used to get pupils forming, holding, extending, melting, deconstructing, juxtaposing, and sequencing images for learning purposes.
