Decentralized cloud storage is made possible via the IPFS design, which makes use of peer-to-peer networking and content addressing. Its 200,000 network nodes, 2 million weekly users, and 125 TB of gateway traffic as of August 2021 make IPFS a well-liked subject for extensive operational network research. Although research on its structure and operation is scarce, it is used as a building component in a variety of projects and applications. As a result, we have provided some information on the architectural design, operating principles, characteristics, features, and difficulties that it presents. In general, IPFS offers a variety of capabilities and features that can be leveraged to create a fantastic decentralized application.
