Comparative study on ontology matching tools and methods

The tremendous growth in the information and communication technology leads to availability of more information in the web and those information are in heterogeneous form.In order to fetch information in a effective manner various technologies are used, semantic web is one of the technology in handling distributed and heterogeneous forms.Semantic web is the extension of the existing web.It provides a standard way of representing the content and relationship among the content.Semantic web completely relies on Ontology.Ontology is one of the important factors for enabling interoperability among the distributed environment and semantic web application.Ontology aim in capturing the domain knowledge in a generic way and provide a deeper understanding about the domain.Ontology mapping is the process of combining different ontologies together.In this paper different existing ontology matching tools, its constraints are talked about and a short examination of all ontology matching tools is classified and displayed.
