Body ownership is the feeling that a body part belongs to you, and agency is the feeling that you have control over your body part. In this study, we investigated whether body ownership and agency occur for fake body parts in a VR environment. The results of the questionnaire suggested that the agency was felt for two seen left hands for this condition. Especially, the agency was strongly felt against the medial left hand. In contrast, the body-ownership felt mostly against the seen hand that was spatially consistent with the actual hand. These results showed that Body ownership was unlikely to be felt in the two left arms at the same time, but Agency was likely to be felt in both arms.
