Drones have become famous and are used in various industrial fields. Recently, it comes into the spotlight that the study of interaction between human and flying robots (drones). There are various type of interfaces and interactions. However, despite importance of body, there are fewer studies on touch interaction with flying robots than those with ordinary robots. Thus, we developed touchable flying robot called “Soft Flying Robot”. This robot consists of a balloon and piezoelectric air pumps, which realize blade-free flight mechanism and safe touches. In addition, we design this robot more interactive, using touch sensors and LEDs. In this paper, we discuss about interaction design for Soft Flying Robot.
