Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are self-configuring networks that consist of mobile devices without any fixed infrastructure. Due to their dynamic nature and lack of centralized control, efficient routing protocols are crucial for enabling reliable communication in MANETs. The two widely used routing protocols, Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), are fully implemented and compared in this study. Key performance indicators such as packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, routing overhead, and scalability are used to assess their effectiveness. The results obtained from our experiments provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each protocol, aiding network designers and researchers in selecting the most appropriate routing solution for specific MANET scenarios.
