Today's modern world is being driven towards automation and as well gathering any type of information from every nook and corner of the world which is possible through one of the technology named Internet of Things(IoT).IoT is not just a single technology but it is a combination of various technologies like embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, cloud computing etc. Basic IoT network consists of various layers; one among them is the device layer which is the base layer responsible for gathering the data from physical world through the sensors.Various sensors can be deployed into an area depending upon the type of application it is used for.Various homogenous sensors can be made into clusters due to which it would be beneficiary in terms of bandwidth and power consumption, number of internet connections required, fault tolerance, longevity of devices etc. This paper presents a comparison between various algorithms used to cluster the sensors at device level.
