In hemodialysis machine, peristaltic pump is responsible for transporting fluids. The pump is attached with stepper motor, gear box and rotor shaft with two rollers during the process of dialysis. The volume of fluid flowing through the pump depends on the tube segments pressed by the roller. In this case, there occurs a deviation in the amount of transported fluid. The aim of this paper is to design an embedded microcontroller system for monitoring and controlling the blood pumping speed in dialysis machine and to provide an instant biometric feedback through Internet of Things. The Arduino microcontroller is the main controller element incorporated with suitable sensors for transporting the controlled fluid volume in this system. IOT is the key element of the project. Four sensors are used for collecting patient biometric feedback and the output from these sensors is continuously stored in an external server. The doctor can evaluate the conditions of the patient by opening this server and monitor them irrespective of time or place. By implementing this system, the deviation in the amount of delivered fluid can be controlled and at the same time cost effective treatment is performed through IOT.
