Design of Digital Differentiator Based on Interpolated and Multirate Technique
K. Rajasekhar · 2023
Design of a new s to z transformation is proposed in this paper. Initially, the first order transform is obtained by combining the Euler's backward transformation and Al-Alaoui differentiator. This hybrid transform is more efficient up to 1.57 radians of frequency range and is used in the detection of edges in an image. Lastly, to extend the frequency range of this differentiator is obtained by using multirate concept. This novel differentiator magnitude, pole-zero and phase responses are obtained by use of MATLAB simulation software. To evaluate the proposed transform performance by comparing with the popular existing techniques like fractional interpolation, Al-Alaoui, three segment rule and etc. The efficacy of proposed one is supported by considering the performance metrics like relative error (RE) and absolute error (AE).
