Load balancing guarantees a network greater performance and access to its resources, distributing traffic according to its priority, either through software or hardware using different algorithms, the same ones that are chosen depending on the type of service that is going to be used, in addition to the status of the network servers at the time of the user's request. This article describes the state of the art of static and dynamic load balancing algorithms with better results in performance, decreased response times and absence of overload, for this a qualitative and documentary investigation was carried out, where selected and analyzed several studies that used these mechanisms in similar scenarios.Among the results it was found that a percentage of 60% of these studies use static approaches, while 40% use dynamic approaches, in addition it was possible to determine that the algorithm with the best responses in static approaches is Round Robin, while in the dynamic approach we have the Accelerated algorithm and the so-called Ant Colony.
