In general, research on rice pest detection systems has been found to use recognition camera systems and color image processing, but previous research did not utilize how the pest detection results produce mechanical system output. The aim of this research is to design and test the ESP32CAM camera system using Open CV to detect types of rice pests and send the pest reading data system to the microcontroller via IoT to produce a mechanical system output in the form of lights. The method used in this research is broken down into several parts, namely, the use of the ESP32CAM system for taking images using Open CV to change the color image in order to detect the type and shape of the final pest using the IOT system to transfer data to the ESP32 microcontroller system to turn on the mechanical lighting system. The results of this research explain that there are 3 types of pests, namely Bacterial Leaf Blight, Brown Spot and Leaf Smut, 5 samples each. From the 5 samples, the number of boxes detected was 6 in Bacterial Leaf Blight, 15 in Brown Spot and 3 in Leaf Smut in the first sample. From these results, the mechanical system on the lamp indicates that the white light color is the Bacterial Leaf Blight pest, the yellow color is the brown spot pest and the blue color is the leaf smut pest.
