Motion Sickness (MS) is an issue of handling information by the brain when forwarded from our ears, eyes, and body. Early and timely detection and prediction of MS is therefore essential. In recent years, various Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods (e.g., machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL)) have been widely used to detect and predict MS accurately. This paper attempts to review the recently developed ML and DL methods for MS detection and prediction. Hence, we discuss the most popular ML and DL methods applied in the domain. In addition, we list the most important limitations and research gaps and provide several solid future research directions throughout.
