Analysis and Reflection on the Situation of Industrial Information Security Ransomware Attacks

Ransomware has been rampant around the world recently, infecting tens of thousands of devices and systems and raising security alarms for the global industrial information industry. In this paper, we provide a thorough analysis of industrial ransomware attacks in four aspects: staged differences, attack characteristics, industrial patterns, and enterprise security protection, by studying the current industrial ransomware attack cases and risk status. Finally, to reduce the threat of ransomware in the industrial sector and enhance the capacity of industrial information security protection, this paper proposes countermeasures and recommendations in five areas: strengthening the construction of security protection systems, testing and evaluation, monitoring and emergency response, data protection, and legislative oversight.
