The potential of AI in spectrum management, covering dynamic spectrum access, interference mitigation, and adaptive resource allocation is presented. The study highlights the challenges, comprising algorithmic bias, security concerns, and the need for robust data sets. Global efforts towards ensuring radio spectrum support for emerging AI applications are highlighted. Critical considerations for developing and effectively implementing effective policies and regulatory frameworks in AI-enabled spectrum management regime are discussed elaborately. The importance of safeguarding against monopolistic practices and ensuring equitable access to spectrum resources while fostering AI-based innovations in spectrum management was presented. The paper will serve as a reference for policymakers and stakeholders in spectrum resource management.
