The Research on Methods for Generating Random Passwords

Today, passwords are used to protect various personal, financial and other information in our daily lives. To ensure security, these passwords must be of high complexity, i.e. so that the hacking time is “infinitely” long. Many methods are proposed for generating random passwords with different character sets. The work selects a method among possible proposals in the languages C#, Python and Java. To determine a more suitable method, clustering of passwords obtained using C#, Python and Java methods was carried out using the K-means, G-means and EM algorithm methods. As a result, the java.security.SecureRandom method was chosen for further use in developing a mobile application.
