Identifier-Based Rendezvous Scheme for Asynchronous Cognitive Radio Wireless Networks
Sangeeta Sa, Arunanshu Mahapatro · 2023
To achieve blind rendezvous in cognitive radio networks (CRNs), channel hopping (CH)-based techniques are typically used in the literature. In this paper, an identifier-based channel hopping (I-CH) algorithm is proposed to establish blind rendezvous between two secondary users (SUs). The basic idea is to generate CH sequences for SUs with distinct hop patterns and shortest periods based on their respective Identifiers (IDs). The suggested CH algorithm guarantees an optimum degree of rendezvous and reduced maximum time to rendezvous. Furthermore, it is useful for preserving the memory of tiny wireless devices and sensors that are appropriate for device-to-device communication and Internet of Things applications. The effectiveness of the suggested scheme has been assessed with the use of theoretical analysis and simulation findings.
