Interrupted Sampling Repeater Jamming Suppression Based on Time-frequency Segmentation Network and Target Signal Reconstruction

Yunyun Meng, Lei Yu, Yinsheng Wei · 2023

Interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) with flexible modulation and fast response capabilities seriously damages radar detection performance. The effectiveness of existing methods declines significantly at low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions. In this paper, an ISRJ suppression method based on a time-frequency segmentation network (TFSegNet) and target signal reconstruction is proposed. Utilizing the time-frequency (TF) separability of jamming and target signals, a TFSegNet is developed to automatically generate TF masks and extract the TF distribution of de-chirped target signals after jamming elimination. And the target signals reconstructed by inverse TF transform pass through a frequency-domain band pass filter to further eliminate noise. Simulation results verify the superiority of the proposed method in the low SNR and multi-target cases and the strong robustness to varying SNRs and jamming-to-signal ratios.
